LA FRANCE DANS LES CONFLITS ARMÉS ET CEUX QUI SONT
DEVENUS "SOLDATS DE FRANCE" EN ACCOMPLISSANT LEUR
SERVICE ARMÉ NATIONAL.
Outre
ses tâches statutaires de secours et d'entraide, notre
Association
facilite à ses membres l'attribution des distinctions que leurs
activités dans l'Armée ou dans la Résistance ont
pu leur valoir.
Nous nous
réunissons le deuxième jeudi de mars et septembre,
à 19h30 dans la salle 213 du War Memorial Building
(au coin de Van Ness Avenue et de McAllister Street) à San
Francisco.
Ces réunions se terminent toujours par un casse-croûte
traditionnellement arrosé d'un bon verre de vin.
En
novembre, pour la « FÊTE DE L'ARMISTICE »,
après la messe officielle à
Notre Dame des Victoires, et après avoir déposé
une gerbe au Monument
aux Morts de 1914-1918 et 1939-1945, nous nous retrouvons dans la salle
paroissiale de l'Église pour un vin d'honneur.
En
décembre, généralement le deuxième samedi
du mois, nous organisons un
déjeuner pour célébrer la « FÊTE DE
NOËL » en famille.

THE FRENCH WAR
VETERANS AND SOLDIERS OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND
NEIGHBORING STATES WELCOME AMONG THEMSELVES THOSE WHO HAVE
SERVED FRANCE IN ANY ARMED CONFLICTS AND THOSE WHO HAVE BECOME
"SOLDIERS OF FRANCE" BY DOING THEIR MILITARY SERVICE.
In
addition to its statutory functions of assistance and mutual aid, our
Association facilitates the attribution of decorations to its members
who might deserve them by virtue of their activities in the French Army
or the Resistance movement.
We
meet on the second Thursday of March and September, at 7:30 p.m. in
Room 213 of the War Memorial Building (corner of Van Ness Avenue and
McAllister Street) in San Francisco. These meetings always end with a
snack accompanied by the traditional glass of wine.
In
November, for "ARMISTICE DAY," after a Service of Remembrance at Notre
Dame des Victoires,
and after laying a wreath at its War Memorial honoring the dead of
1914-1918 and 1939-1945, we get together for a reception in the Church
hall.
In
December, generally on the second Saturday of the month, we organize a
banquet to celebrate "CHRISTMAS" as a family.
